Hochheim to Frankfurt HauptBahnhof
Peter took me to the train station for my short ride to Frankfurt. Woody came along.
Woody goes ever where just like my Chili |
Right next to Hochheim train station there is a dog house with a warning sign. Beware of dog. He has taken out many: postmen, thiefs, car tires and cats in that order.
The main train station in Frankfurt is huge - like so many European train stations. The ICE train for Paris left exactly at 1:01 pm. Staying at hotel near the Charles de Gaulle airport. There is a shuttle that runs ever 15 minutes. So, I don't have to leave for airport until around 9:00 am on Tuesday, June 26th.

Today I leave Hochheim for my long journey home. I will take the 11:16am train to Frankfurt. The ICE train to Paris leaves at 1:00 pm. I am scheduled to arrive at the Gare du l'Est at 4:50pm. I then need to take a train from Gare du Nord to Charles de Gaulle Airport. I will spend the night at a hotel near the airport before my flight home tomorrow.
Rüdesheim am Rhein
Yesterday in the afternoon, I took the train to Rüdesheim. This quaint village is on the banks of the Rhein river about 30 minutes from Wiesbaden. It is a tourist destination for sure. Even in the rain, there were many people like myself wanting to visit this region to sample the wine. I visited the Wine Museum which was a former Roman fortress then later expanded and turned into a castle - now a museum.
